We are looking for a talented Account Manager with 3-4 years experience to join our team in Köln.

Role Purpose

To:

  • Target key client accounts and grow revenue within those accounts against set targets
  • Focus on upselling clients aligned with the companies long term strategic vision
  • Manage the day to day activities associated with key accounts and ensure excellent customer support
  • Good skills in active listening, speaking and social perceptiveness when interacting with customers

Key Result Areas

Relationship Development

  • Identify new opportunities for process, revenue growth and increased

  • Prioritise, effectively deliver and satisfy the business needs and business objectives

  • Work with production team to identify and resolve any client concerns both proactively and reactively
  • Identify and engage with key client decision makers, as well as leading and focusing the sales effort to maximise the opportunity for success

Business Performance

  • Work with Sales Manager to identify target accounts and tactics to grow the revenue base off those clients
  • Achieve quarterly repeat customer revenue targets
  • Work with the production team to ensure all jobs are delivered to client specifications and track job metrics to ensure we meet or exceed client delivery expectations
  • Undertake outbound activity (calling, email marketing) to build a pipeline with customers
  • Identify key opportunities for account growth and reference relevant internal staff to help expand client revenue
  • Handle technical aspects of translation including multimedia production, multilingual web sites and interaction with our development team
  • Respond to client enquiries for translation projects
  • Prepare costings for clients
  • Manage client feedback on translation projects
  • Ensure correct pricing and business model application for long term growth and margin optimisation

  • Keep abreast of industry and professional knowledge
  • Personal skills and competencies kept up-to-date with professional development
  • Development of commercial skills to enable upselling/revenue maximisation off clients

Position Attributes

Educational Qualifications

Tertiary Qualification in a business related discipline or equivalent experiential background.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build strong relationships.
  • Sales experience
  • Customer obsessed – awesome customer service skills
  • Knowledge and experience within the industry
  • MS Word and Excel skills to intermediate level
  • Positive attitude with a good sense of humour

  • Self motivated with strong work ethic
  • Native German speaker and fluent in English
